my name is ana navarro and i am your pediatric sleep coach
You need a pedriatic sleep coach if…
Your child:
◉ Struggles to fall asleep.
◉ Does not fall asleep without your presence and help.
◉ Wakes up many times during the night.
◉ Wakes up very early in the morning (before 6am) and cannot/ will not fall back asleep.
◉ Does not take good naps.
And you:
◉ Are exhausted and in a bad mood
◉ Want to put an end to co-sleeping.
◉ Panic when it's time to go to bed.
◉ You have tried many things, but nothing seems to stick
But it is not just sleeping through the night
It is normal for you to be in a hurry to get your child to sleep through the night, but this should not be our only goal. Sleep is a physiological need and is a key part of every child's life. Sleep is not an option. Establishing good sleeping habits and sleeping well mainly affects 3 essential areas of wellbeing:
◉ It increases your child’s performance by making them think more clearly, react faster, learn better and memorize more.
◉ It improves their mood because it reduces irritability, tiredness and reduces the likelihood of depression.
◉ It contributes to overall health by promoting growth, the development of muscle mass, and the strengthening of the immune system, among many other benefits.
Hola. HELLO. SALUT.
"When I became a mum I felt guilt, frustration and insecurity. To be honest, sometimes I still feel it, but at least I sleep well now"
I am Ana Navarro, I was born in Madrid and I have a degree in Business Administration and Management (bilingual mode) and a Master's degree in Fashion Product Management.
My professional life in the textile sector led me to live in Barcelona and Casablanca. And for love, I have lived in Paris (what a cliché!) and Amsterdam. Thanks to these adventures, I now speak 3 languages: Spanish (mother tongue), English and French.
The arrival of my daughter was the best thing that ever happened to me, but also the most exhausting. I felt the exhaustion, stress, frustration and the consequences of not resting at all.
I didn't accept comments like "don't worry, she'll sleep one day”, "let her cry and she'll fall asleep", and a long etcetera full of advice. So I after contacting a pediatric sleep coach and reading a lot about infant sleep, I managed to teach my daughter to sleep on her own. The change was so positive and everything I read was so interesting that it gradually became my new passion.
My current profession is a result of this passion. After becoming a certified Pediatric Sleep Coach in Canada, I not only help families to get back to sleep, but I also help families facilitate healthy sleep habits that will have very positive effects on their child’s development and growth.
How do I work?
I would love to have a magic wand to allow every baby and child on the planet to sleep peacefully, and their parents to sleep the 8 hours they are used to.Although for many parents, the results of a personalized sleep plan may seem like magic, what I do is analyze all the factors that influence a child's sleep and give tools to achieve healthy sleep habits, always with respect and lots of love.
Each child is different and my plans are personalized without using a specific sleep method or philosophy. What do I take into account when drawing up a personalized sleep plan?
◉ The parenting philosophy of the parents and their values
◉ The family situation and its dynamics
◉ The sleep environment
◉ Sleep patterns and routine of the child
◉ The physical and mental development of the child
◉ The child's personality
◉ Attachment
◉ Feeding (breast / bottle)

Each child is different and my plans are personalized without using a specific sleep method or philosophy. We will use the method that best suits your child and your family, always with respect and love.
-
Perseverance and patience are key to success. We will work as a team where I will give you the information, the guidelines to follow, and my support, but I do not live with you to put all this into practice. It is you as the parents who have to carry out the sleep plan. With coaching, I am sure you will achieve your goal.
I can't make any guarantees because we are talking about children, not robots. I cannot guarantee 100% success.

I will never advise you to leave your child crying in the room until they fall asleep. This is not teaching your child to sleep and it is not creating a good sleep habit. But we must understand that crying is the way babies communicate and that with a sleep plan, we are changing the way they sleep, a change that they have not asked for. We will always try to reduce crying by accompanying them with love and respect. No matter how much they sleep badly, they are our children and what we love most in the world.

3 weeks, although results can be seen much sooner. It depends on the specific case, the child's personality, their age and, of course, the perseverance of the parents. I am sure you will succeed :)
-
If possible, yes. I always advise you to start a sleep plan when you know that you will be at home for two weeks, just two weeks!
-
Before the age of 6 months, babies go through a series of changes that affect their sleep biology, so it is advisable to start a sleep plan from the sixth month (but not before making sure that your child is in good health).
Before month 6, you can try things to avoid future problems, but they don't necessarily work.
-
Of course not, creating a good sleep habit for your baby and getting back to a good night's sleep does not mean stopping breastfeeding. Each plan is personalized and tailored to each family's situation and, of course, breastfeeding is taken into account.
We will try to identify the nutritional feeds (those feeds that the baby needs because of hunger versus the feeds that he/she feeds to help him/her fall asleep.
